Makes enough to cover approx 15 cupcakes
140g unsalted butter, softened
325g icing sugar
2 dessertspoons whole milk
1 tsp vanilla extract (or to your taste)
1) Leave the butter out to soften (cut into cubes to reduce the time)
2) Beat the butter in a bowl on its own to so it is workable, then add the icing sugar and beat until well incorporated.
3) Add the milk and vanilla extract and beat again, carefully to begin with. Once it is combined use an electric hand mixer/whisk for a minute or tow to get a nice fluffy consistency (if you don't have one, just beat vigoraously for a while)
